Our Malvern based client, a leading independent UK manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced COST ACCOUNTANT. This is your opportunity to work for a dynamic & expanding company where you will be valued as an employee and team member.

You will be a pro-active individual who has previous cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of success, with the ability to communicate and work successfully with factory floor employees through to Directors.

As the Cost Accountant your responsibilities will include: • Collect & analyse data and record results to determine costs to business such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour • Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost • Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs • Record, audit, analyse & report cost information for use in controlling expenditures • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services • Maintaining Cost Accounting System and assist in Month end close of the General Ledger • Conducts physical inventories and monitor cycle count program • Reconciling finished goods inventories

You will be expected to have the following qualifications & experience: • Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment • Recognised qualification in Accounting • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles. • Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

ANNUAL SALARY IS CIRCA. £30,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE PLUS OTHER BENEFIITS
