My client is a local Hereford business established over 40 years ago. They are now seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to assist the Financial Director in all areas of management accounting, along with other administrative duties. The person must be educated to at least A Level standard, or equivalent, and should ideally hold an accounting qualification such as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).
Key responsibilities are: Sales Ledger Purchase Ledger Nominal Cash & Bank Management Accounts General Duties
The successful applicant will work together with other members of the company. A key skill will be the ability to work accurately, and quickly, with very close attention to detail. You will be a team player who will take personal responsibility for work. Key skills and attributes will include:
Intelligent – Educated to at least A Level standard
Excellent standards of written and spoken English
Experienced administrator Numerate Good telephone manner The ability to pay close attention to detail
The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
Highly organised The ability to prioritise work A team player who is also able to take responsibility and ownership of specific tasks
Coming from an Accounts background the successful applicant is likely to have experience in:-
Computerised accounts systems
Internet banking Sales and Purchase ledger Foreign currency
Excel Cash flow forecasting and treasury management Systems implementation
